Stallings flips to Indiana

Oak Park (Ill.) River Forest senior defensive end recruit Allen Stallings (6-foot-2, 230 pounds) was all set to sign this Wednesday to Central Michigan, but the the Indiana Hoosiers came calling earlier this week and today Stallings is verbally committed to the Indiana Hoosiers.

"I'm on my way back now from Indiana." Stallings said. "Indiana came into school on Monday last week and said they wanted me to make an official visit this weekend. I visited and they offered me a full scholarship and I'm committed to the Indiana Hoosiers."

Stallings, who decommitted earlier today to Central Michigan talked his his change of heart.

"I had a great visit and Indiana was my top school for the very beginning. I know a lot of the guys on the team already like Simmie (Cobbs) and Leon (Thornton) so it feels like home. Indiana had been in touch with me early on and sort of backed off. They hired a new defensive coordinator (Tom Allen) and they really like the fact that I can play as a standup defensive end in the Indiana defense. Indiana just feels like home, they offer a great education and the football program is headed in the right direction. I love Central Michigan and the coaches but this was my dream school and I just couldn't say no to Indiana."

Stallings admits that calling up the Central Michigan coaches to decommit was a very hard call to make.

"I really love the coaches at Central Michigan and they offered me a great opportunity. It was a really hard phone call for me to make. I know that I'm making the best possible decision I can at Indiana and I just hope they understand my choice. Everyone is on board with my decision and it just feels great."

Allen Stallings is verbally committed to Indiana.
